Amanda Riddle

Amanda Riddle frequently speaks on panels and at events on fire survivors’ legal rights. She currently represents survivors of the Eaton Fire in their claims against SCE, and counsels survivors of the Palisades Fire. Amanda also currently represents approximately 6,000 victims of the 2015 Butte Fire, 2017 North Bay Fires, and 2018 Camp Fire, which were each started by PG&E. PG&E filed bankruptcy in January 2019, bringing the wildfire victim claims into the bankruptcy proceeding. Amanda leads various aspects of the litigation and was a member of the team that negotiated a $13.5B settlement for these wildfire victims. She also serves on the oversight committee that oversees the trust that holds and disperses those settlement funds. Amanda served as co-liaison counsel for all (over 3,700) plaintiffs in the Butte Fire state court litigation.

Amanda’s experience includes the representation of 45 families who fell victim to the explosion of PG&E’s natural gas transmission line in San Bruno, California, on September 9, 2010. Amanda served as court-appointed co-liaison counsel in the litigation. In 2013, Amanda was selected as a finalist for the Consumer Attorneys of California’s Woman Advocate of the Year Award for her exemplary work on the PG&E case.

In addition, Amanda represented survivors of the 2015 Fresno PG&E Explosion, 2017 SCE Thomas Fire, 2019 PG&E Kincade Fire, 2019 PG&E Lafayette Fire, and 2020 PG&E Zogg Fire.

In addition to representing fire survivors, she represents clients in various general and complex litigation matters, including business, employment, and elder law case and mass torts. She has been named to the Super Lawyers Top 50 Women Lawyers and Top 100 Lawyers in Northern California lists since 2019.

Steve Lopez

For years, Steve has co-led large teams of lawyers and paralegals representing thousands of renters, homeowners and business owners affected by devastating California wildfires. He’s a vital member of the team that helped secure over $1.5 billion from PG&E, on behalf of survivors of the Camp, Tubbs, and North Bay Fires. In addition to representing wildfire victims, he represents consumers, employees and whistleblowers in complex class actions, mass torts, and mass arbitrations. In 2024 and 2023, he was named to Lawdragon’s list for 500 X – The Next Generation, which highlights promising young attorneys who’ve already handled matters with “significant impact” as future leaders of the legal profession. He currently represents survivors of the Eaton Fire in Los Angeles. Steve is dedicated to helping wildfire survivors rebuild their lives through lawsuits against utility companies.

Brian Bailey

As a key member of the Corey Gibbs case team, he has helped secure over $1.5 billion in recovery for over 6,000 impacted homeowners and renters. With extensive experience in filing claims for displaced individuals, Brian expertly navigates the complexities of the claims process. He firmly believes that everyone displaced by a disaster deserves zealous, comprehensive, and compassionate representation, irrespective of their socioeconomic status. He currently represents survivors of the Eaton Fire in Los Angeles.

Brian also represents clients harmed by corporate misconduct in complex litigation including employment discrimination, personal injury, and consumer protection cases. He represents employees and consumers in our cases against HondaIBMAmazon, and PG&E. He also worked closely with Eric Gibbs to spearhead Gibbs Law Group’s Diversity Fellowship.

Daniel Martinez

He is part of the team representing wildfire survivors and has helped hundreds of survivors affected by the 2017 North Bay Fires and 2018 Camp Fire. He has represented homeowners, renters, and business owners, and has helped them secure millions from utilities companies. Daniel takes a personable approach with wildfire survivors as he prepares them for the long road ahead. As a fellow Angeleno, he takes pride in offering legal support to survivors of the Eaton Fire in Los Angeles.

Sumble Manzoor

Sumble Manzoor is a partner with Corey, Luzaich, de Ghetaldi & Riddle LLP. Sumble devotes her practice to representing clients in a variety of civil litigation matters including complex and mass torts, business, personal injury, employment and trusts and estates litigation.

In recent years, Sumble’s experience has included representing hundreds of wildfire survivors against PG&E following the devastating 2015 Butte Fire, 2017 North Bay Fires, 2018 Camp Fire, and 2019 Lafayette Fire. Sumble also represents plaintiffs harmed by utility-caused explosions, including the 2015 Fresno PG&E Explosion. She prides herself on working to ensure that utilities are held accountable for their failures. She currently represents survivors of the Eaton Fire in their claims against SCE.
